Matthew G. Olearczyk


Matthew is the Target Manager for the Underground Distribution Infrastructure in the Power Delivery Group at the Electric Power Research Institute located in Palo Alto, California. He is responsible for the Underground Distribution Target Area in research, development and commercialization of technologies in utility underground distribution systems.

Matthew received a BSME from Widener University in 1986. Matthew began working at EPRI in December, 1996 after spending more than fifteen years at Public Service Electric and Gas Company in New Jersey. He spent the majority of his career with PSE&G working in the Electric Utility Business Unit. He brings an experience including field operations/engineering/construction to the institute. Matthew managed the Manhole and Conduit Engineering and Construction Group for three years while at PSE&G. During his last year at PSE&G he moved outside of the regulated utility business and joined Public Service Enterprise Group. He was assigned to a Integration Team that was installing an integrated enterprise wide software application known as SAP R/4. Matthew served on the team as a subject matter expert in Electric Transmission and Distribution work management.
