Dear ICC Members and Guests:

With this letter I cordially invite you to the 109th meeting of the Insulated Conductors Committee Meeting. I look forward to working with all of you as we meet in Dearborn, Michigan for our Spring Meeting.

Our host for the meeting will be Detroit Edison with special assistance from Nagu Srinivas.

To help you get the most out of our meeting, please review the following information:

MEETING SCHEDULE

HOTEL

Note: The ICC is committed to a minimum occupancy. To avoid a charge for meeting rooms, please make your reservations before the cutoff date. We have negotiated special rates for ICC members and guests. When making your reservations remember to let the hotel know that you are a part of the IEEE ICC meeting.

AIRLINE

Delta is the official meeting airline. To take advantage of their special rates, call 1-800-241-6760 or your travel agent. Refer to File No. 172593A.

Car Rental

Avis is the official car rental company. To take advantage of their special rates, call 1-800-331-1600 and refer to Discount No. A606098.

Airport Transportation

Shuttle service available through Commuter Transportation located at all baggage claim areas. For information call (734)-941-3252 or (800) 488-7433.

The hotel is approximately 20 minutes from the Airport.

REGISTRATION

  • Fill out and send attached registration form
  • PRE-REGISTER – IT SAVES YOU MONEY AND HELPS US PLAN A BETTER MEETING
  • As a courtesy to international members and guests, you can pay the registration fee on site at preregistration rates if you fax or mail your registration forms by the deadline.
  • Please pay with a check for US funds or cash, we do not accept credit card payments.

DRESS CODE

It’s "business casual." Leave your coats and ties at home - unless you just can’t help yourself.

WEATHER

The Spring in Dearborn should still have cool weather, therefore, a coat would be advisable for excursions outside of the hotel.

SPOUSE ACTIVITIES

As usual, there is a program for spouses - please see the attached letter that describes the program details.

ORIENTATION

First Meeting? Want to know more about the ICC? Please attend the Orientation Session on Sunday afternoon. There are many different sessions at ICC meetings. They cover a multitude of subjects related to insulated conductors. Information presented at Orientation will help you find the sessions that are of interest to you.

CHAIRMEN (SUBCOMMITTEE, WORKING GROUP & DISCUSSION GROUP)

IF you are a working group or subcommittee chair or vice chair, YOU MUST attend the All Chairs meeting on Monday morning at 7:00 AM.
