Chairman Bow has announced that the Keynote Speaker for the Opening Session will be Phillip Tollefson, Executive Director of our host, Colorado Springs Utilities. We welcome Mr. Tollefson to the ICC and look forward to his remarks.

The Subcommittees will sponsor many Technical Presentations on key topics in their fields of interest. Check the listing periodically, as we'll be adding many topics as the meeting approaches. (Updated 4/26/2002)

If you plan to make presentation (especially if its a computer based presentation), be sure and check the Presentation Guidelines page. Remember, a computer projector will be provided by the ICC only for Orientation, the Opening Session, the Subcommittee sessions, the Transnational Luncheon and the Educational Program.

Registration Download the meeting registration forms in either PDF or MS-Word format   (Updated 4/10/2002). Please note, that there is a new procedure to register for the Spring 02 Meeting. The registration fee now includes the minutes. Thus, everyone who registers will receive a CD copy of the minutes. If you want an extra copy of the minutes, or you are a corresponding member, you can purchase a CD copy of the minutes by checking the "Spring 02 Minutes on CD" and paying $50.00. The Fall 01 Minutes were issued as a paper copy. This was the last time that the ICC minutes will be in paper form. All future minutes will be on CD. If you want a copy of the Fall 01 Minutes, please mark "Fall 01 Minutes on CD" on the registration form. These are also $50.00. As has been our practice, all past minutes are available from JMed & Associates, Ltd., E-mail: j.d.medek@ieee.org, Phone: (847) 934-1154.
Educational Program The Spring Educational Program will be entitled Accelerated Cable Testing and Its Correlation to Field Testing.
New Member Orientation Past ICC Chairman, Mike Walker, will conduct an Orientation Session for New Members and Guests. Plan to attend. You'll learn about the organization, meet people and come up to speed faster.
Mini-Expo The Spring meeting will feature a Mini-Expo for vendors to make table top displays of equipment and services related to the scope of the ICC. If your company would like to participate, you'll need to reserve space by the April 12th deadline. To see the list of vendors who have committed, follow the hyperlink above. (Updated 4/20/2002)

Hotel Information Make your reservations for the Spring meeting now. The cutoff is March 27, 2002. Please identify the group as the ICC. Accommodations requested beyond the cut-off date will be offered based on availability and at the prevailing rate. Be sure to visit the Antlers Adams Mark Hotel online. Colorado Springs was founded in 1871 and has evolved from a frontier town to a world class community. Colorado Springs has the nickname "Silicone Mountain" as a home to high tech companies, military installations and other organizations. Colorado Springs has nearly 300 sunny days per year with a large choice of outdoor activities. There are many things to do:

  • Experience the ancient Anasazi Native American Culture by visiting the Manitou Cliff Dwellings.
  • Visit an 1800's old west ghost town.
  • Visit the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine in Cripple Creek.
  • Visit the highest zoo in the USA.
  • Visit the United States Air Force Academy - home to over 4,000 Air Force Cadets.
  • Visit the Olympic Training Center.
  • Visit the red rock mountains at Garden of the Gods Park.
  • Take a train or drive up Pikes Peak (14,010 ft / 4271 m).
  • Browse the quaint shops, art galleries and studios in the Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs.
  • Visit the Casino at Cripple Creek.

The landscape and scenery serves as a beautiful stage for mountain biking, horseback riding, rafting, fishing or ballooning.

Host Utility Our host for the Spring Meeting will be Colorado Springs Utilities. CSU is a community-owned utility which provides electric, natural gas, water and wastewater services to more than 551,000 customers in the Colorado Springs area. The ICC invites to to visit their homepage at http://www.csu.org/ and learn more about CSU. Our Keynote Speaker for the Opening Session will be Phillip Tollefson, Executive Director of CSU.
