The semi-annual ICC Awards and Recognition Luncheon was held on the Boardwalk of the Don Ceasar on Tuesday, November 7, 1995 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. To the delight of everyone, a "Caribbean" style buffet was served instead of the usual hot dog and hamburger feast. The only complaints voiced were " it was too sunny and hot" It looks like we couldn't please everyone. This year we worked on the food. Next year we will work on the weather!
The formal program was opened by Lauri Hilvala, ICC Chair, with the introduction of the Vice-Chair, Mart Mashikian and the Secretary, Don Voltz. Lauri gave a special recognition to those visitors, who had traveled from Europe, to attend the IEC Working Group meeting on extruded dielectrics and accessories. He asked those in attendance to stand and be recognized. Next, he asked all the first time attendees to also stand and be recognized.
Lauri Hilvala turned the meeting over to Matt Mashikian, Vice-Chair for the award presentations. Matt distributed PES Certificates of Appreciation and IEEE Standards Board Awards to the following individuals for their accomplishments;
