Monday, October 31, 2016
A Phoenix, Arizona Metropolitan Area Day Tour has been planned for Monday, October 31, 2016 a cost of only $50, including the tour, transportation and lunch.
As we tour the Valley of the Sun, you will be treated to sights of famous architecture, modern art, desert views, and the individuality that make this desert oasis magical. The half-day City Highlights tour showcases the largest county by population in Arizona, Maricopa County. Maricopa County has a tremendous diversity of culture, scenery and history on display, set against the backdrop of the Sonoran Desert.
Similar to its desert surrounding, the City of Phoenix and the City of Scottsdale are quite unique. Areas of interest on your Phoenix/Scottsdale City Highlights Tour include South Mountain Park, Arizona Biltmore, Old Town Scottsdale, and Downtown Phoenix. South Mountain is the largest municipal park in the world at over 17 miles long. Downtown Phoenix, home to the Historic Capitol building, provides for a unique metro area where sports fans, fashion buffs and history buffs intermingle. Old Town Scottsdale provides guests numerous options to explore the many art galleries and fashion shops, as well as enjoy some fine cuisine from around the world. The Arizona Biltmore is the only existing luxury hotel with design elements from the famous Frank Lloyd Wright. Built in 1929, the Biltmore was immediately crowned the “Jewel of the Desert” and has been the preferred resort for past and present celebrities, heads of state, and champions of business. Lunch is included in our tour and we always choose a unique Arizona location, something that you won’t find back home.

Tuesday, November 1, 2016
The Japanese Friendship Garden is available for a tour and tea ceremony on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. The cost is $40 for adults, including a tour of the Garden, the ceremony and transportation.

Metro Bus Lines

Red Line buses join the airport with points north, east and west. Importantly, westbound buses go to downtown Phoenix, the Metrocenter mall in north Phoenix, and many other locations. Buses also stop at the Greyhound Bus Terminal.

Each terminal has stops for the bus: look for the sign 'City Bus Stop'.

Eastbound buses stop on the north sides of Terminal 4 and Terminal 3 and on the west side of Terminal 2.

Westbound buses stop on the south sides of Terminal 4 and Terminal 3. However, they do not stop at Terminal 2: passengers need to catch an eastbound bus from Terminal 2 and change at Terminal 3.

Route 13 runs east across town to Lower Buckeye Road and does stop at the Greyhound Terminal.

One company - Supershuttle - operates 24 hours a day on a scheduled basis offering an airport-to-door service. Phone: 1 602 244-9000 / voice or 1 602 243 7786 / TDD.

Limousines operate to and from the airport, charging per zone and with flat fees for additional passengers, above a standard one or two. Zones are set at five-mile increments from the airport. They can also be hired at an hourly rate, with two-hour minimum. Limousines will also take wheelchairs if they can be folded and put into the trunk.

Dial-A-Ride

People with disabilities and other entitled people should call the Arizona Relay Service. From the airport travelers should dial (602) 253 4000 / voice or (602) 231 0961 / TDD.
