Jim Medek reported that Work Group 7-41 met on April 5, 1993 with 37 people in attendance. Nine of those attending volunteered to become permanent members of the Work Group and facilitate the development of the Transmission Cable Operations Report (TCOR).
Three cable companies, Pirelli, Nokia and Silec, have responded to the request for data on transmission voltage cable installations. Additional data was promised by more of companies that were working on the request . The working group will use these leads to contact the companies that have the transmission lines installed. The intent is to fill in the missing data on those lines. The report format is yet to be determined. When the data is received from those companies not participating in the operations section, the subject will be reviewed.
Rusty Bascom provided an update for the computer program being developed for the TCOR. The group indicated that they would anticipate sending in data more favorably when this program is developed. Mr. Bascom indicated he wants the program to be working well before it is released. Many good comments were received from the group and will be considered in future reports. Information on the computer program is included in Appendix VII-A.
