Insulated Conductors Committee

The ICC Website is changing.  As this transition is made, our new format can be found at www.pesicc.org/ICCWP. Please send any comments or questions to mvh@voncorp.com.

Please note that beginning with the Fall 98 meeting in St. Petersburg there will be an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT format from previous meetings. The goal is to reduce overlap and allow working groups more time to prepare documents or allow DISCUSSION GROUPS more time to have in-depth discussions.

This change has not been submitted for approval to the PES Technical Council, the governing body which has to approve such permanent changes to the ICC (Note: This was approved February 1999). The new format will be a trial run at the fall 98 meeting. If successful, it will be submitted for approval and will be incorporated as a permanent change.

What are the changes?

Why make the changes?

PRESENTATION GROUPS: Most presentations will take place in one of these four groups:

WORKING GROUPS: These groups generally exist to prepare documents such as Standards, Guides, Technical Papers or other documents.

DISCUSSION GROUPS: These groups generally exist to gather or share technical input on a given subject. Many working groups start as Discussion Groups to develop their focus before they submit a Project Authorization Request to write a standard or guide. Discussion Groups can also serve as a liaison function or simply be an informal forum for discussions related to a specific subject area.

Please watch the ICC WEB page for more details about how the ICC is changing to better meet the needs of its members.
