The Insulated Conductors Committee Bahder Award was created in recognition of the contributions made by Dr. George Bahder to the science and technology of insulated power cables. The award consists of a plaque and a $2,500 stipend/scholarship that is made in the recipient’s name to an electric power engineering department, or equivalent, at a university or college of the recipient’s choice.
At the Spring 2011 Insulated Conductors Committee meeting, Joe Snow, who was awarded a plaque, requested that the $2,500 donation go to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. These funds supported Milad Falahi while a graduate student there.
His copyrighted PhD dissertation entitled Dynamic Reactive Power Control of Isolated Power Systems is now available on the ICC Downloads section of our website.
Discussion Group D04 on Smoke Toxicity and Corrosive Products of Cable Combustion has updated their Compendium, which can now be downloaded from the Download site.

When you initiate a new Sponsor ballot invitation, please be aware that ALL of the new interest categories will be included as the default. However, as always, you may delete interest categories that are not applicable; and you may alter the definition of any interest category to better align it with the document being balloted.
